Novice/rookie Registration

Novice/Rookie Events:

The Novice/Rookie ABT division(s) will consist of a main bracket of at least 4 matches, a consolation bracket of at least 4 matches, and a last chance bracket of at least 4 matches. Trophies will be awarded based on win/loss record, with ties broken based on head to head results. Depending on the number of entrants and their skill level the tournament may be split into two divisions, Novice and Rookie, with the more experienced players competing together in the Rookie division.

The entry fee for the event is $50 and includes play in the main bracket and either the consolation or the last chance bracket. Players wishing to enter all three brackets may do so for an additional $20.

A $10 side pool is also offered for players that wish to compete for cash prizes. This pool will be awarded to the player with the best record in two brackets (the worst bracket performance will be dropped). Side pool entries are limited to players of a novice level. Any players that the director deems are too strong to play novice may choose to play in the division, but will not be eligible for prize money.
